About Us

We are a fully functioning Women's Institute belonging to Huntingdon & Peterborough Federation.
We are an online group, there, the difference with a standard WI ends.
Our meetings are monthly, on the second Monday at 7.30 pm. via Zoom.  Occasionally we will try to physically get together.  Being from different parts of the country and one member living abroad, this might be difficult.  But, when faced with red tape we turn this into pink elastic and solve the problem.

What Our Team does

Our team meets nearly every month.  Here we decide on the forthcoming programme.  The speakers are selected from members recommendations, other WI's comments and the committee's research.
We organise at least one social event every year. 
Finances are discussed. How are we fairing and do we need to fundraise.
Suggestions for quizzes and games are talked over. How are we going to manage all the ideas that are mentioned.
​The team meetings are never dull affairs.
​If members want to get involved in the organising side of Filoxenia, they only have to say.  There is always plenty of work to go around.
